Prior to your organisation undergoing a full certification audit, it is recommended that an organisation conduct a pre-assessment audit. The purpose of the pre-assessment audit is to ensure you are ready to proceed with the full certification audit. Essentially, the pre-assessment audit is a dress rehearsal for the real thing.
It is important that an organisation conduct a pre-assessment audit because this process allows to identify any nonconformities and implement corrective actions before the certification audit.
On the day of the pre-assessment audit the Certification Body’s will come to your organisation and perform an in-depth review of compliance with each element of the standard. Any non-conformities or observations are provided to you in writing in the pre-assessment audit report. In many cases, the pre-assessment audit report may be available to your company from the auditor on the same day.
NCSB can assist organizations who wishes to gauge their level of compliance against chosen standards without any obligations for certification. This process, known as ‘Pre-Assessment Audit‘ also can act as a learning and evaluation tool for organizations to improve their current management systems, and provides valuable information to decide whether or not to achieve Certification.
